THE FEELS HOW COULD THEY CUT THIS IT WAS MY FAVORITE PART IN THE BOOK.
I remember this scene in the book vividly.
It was the first time Aunt Petunia was humanized, the first time the audience was ALLOWED to see her not as a muggle, but someone involved with the Wizard world.
It was also the first time that we saw the death of Harry’s parents not just affecting Harry, but affect a much larger network of people. But all those people transferred their love for his parents to Harry himself, Petunia could not come to terms with doing that herself..
